The Problem

Education is a fundamental human right, yet millions of children in Sub-Saharan Africa are denied this right due to lack of resources and opportunities.

• 48 million youth (ages 15-24) are illiterate.

• 22% of primary-aged children are not in school, totaling 30 million children.

• Over 75% of children aged 5-9 do not attend school.
